Artistic Director Sandra Hebron today announced the full line-up for the 54th BFI London Film Festival, which runs from October 13 – 28

Sandwiched between the previously announced Mark Romanek’s Never Let Me Go, which opens the festival, and Danny Boyle’s 127 Hours, chosen as the closing film, will be 197 features and 112 shorts, including 11 world premieres, and a line-up of special events.

Highlights will undoubtedly include Darren Aronofsky’s The Black Swan, starring Natalie Portman, Mike Leigh’s Another Year and the Cannes Palme D’Or winning Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives.

As in previous years, there will be strands devoted to World Cinema, European Cinema and Experimenta. The BFI will also be opening its archives once again, with classics like The Bridge Over The River Kwai and Pandora’s Box being rediscovered on the big screen.
