The two companies created the fund last Septemberwith a $250 million starting kitty
They have since entered production on eight films in collaboration with prominent production and distribution companies, including Motor City, which stars Gerard Butler, 2 Guns, a co-production with Universal starring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg, and Lionsgate’s The Tomb, which stars Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger.
Randall Emmett of Emmett/Furla Films said in a statement: “Raising money in this market place is extremely tough, but between both our companies, we were able to raise another fund and are excited to work with talented actors and filmmakers in 2013.”
