Jean Reno joins cast of The Way of the Eagle

Terra Mater Factual Studios have announced the full cast for its distinctive feature film THE WAY OF THE EAGLE, to be directed by Gerardo Olivares.  The celebrated actor Jean Reno (THE DA VINCI CODE, LÉON: THE PROFESSIONAL) will join Manuel Camacho (ENTRE LOBOS; Winner Best Male Newcomer, Spanish Actors Union 2011) for this visually-compelling exploration of human and animal relationships.

The English-language drama will be brought to life by Director Gerardo Olivares, whose debut film ENTRE LOBOS (AMONG WOLVES) was one of the highest-grossing Spanish-language films in the Spain in 2012.

The film is being sold at EFM. The start of principal photography will be June 2014, with delivery of the film scheduled for early 2015.

THE WAY OF THE EAGLE is a powerful tale of hope and discovery, focusing on the lives of a troubled boy called Lukas (Manuel Camacho) and an abandoned eagle chick. Their worlds collide when Lukas finds the chick, which has been thrown out of the nest by his older brother. Lukas names him Abel and, together, they struggle to find a new beginning.

Delivering phenomenal wildlife footage, captured over four years in the mountain ranges of Austria and South Tyrol, by acclaimed wildlife directors Otmar Penker and Gerald Salmina, this extraordinary insight into the kingdom of the eagle is driven by the powerful story of Lukas.  Escaping Keller, a cruel father from whom Lukas must keep his eagle a secret, the boy finds protection with Danzer, a man of the mountains whose own life is transformed by the boy’s arrival.

Handling World Sales ANTHONY BUCKNER said, “THE WAY OF THE EAGLE offers a unique opportunity for buyers in the market place, delivering an inspiring and uplifting story for the entire family.”

Terra Mater Factual Studios is a subsidiary company of Red Bull Media House, which specialises in factual production and distribution for cinema, TV and multimedia platforms.
