San Francisco Int Film Festival joins Festival Scope

The 54th annual San Francisco International Film Festival, the longest running film festival in the Americas, has just announced another milestone as the first US film festival to join Festival Scope, the online, on demand screening platform for film industry professionals.

“We see the participation of SFIFF in Festival Scope as a substantial benefit for the works programmed to screen at the Festival,” said Rachel Rosen, San Francisco Film Society director of programming. “The site has been thoughtfully planned by people who really understand the industry and provides access to the Festival program to buyers and festival programmers who can’t make the trip to San Francisco.”

“San Francisco International is a festival we particularly like because of their remarkable programming focusing on new directors. They were among those first festivals who believed in Festival Scope even before it was online, so we are very happy to have it as the first Festival in the US,” said Alessandro Raja, CEO and founder of Festival Scope.

Following each film’s initial SFIFF screening, Festival Scope members will be able to view selected films from the Festival’s New Directors and Documentary sections including Florent Tillon’s DETROIT WILD CITY, Alison Bagnall’s THE DISH & THE SPOON, Régis Sauder’s CHILDREN OF THE PRINCESS OF CLEVES , Eric Strauss and Daniele Anastasion’s THE REDEMPTION OF GENERAL BUTT NAKED, and Ali Samadi Ahadi’s The GREEN WAVE from the Documentaries section, as well as Isabelle Czajka’s LIVING ON LOVE ALONE, Oscar Godoy’s ULYSSES and Tan Chui Mui’s YEAR WITHOUT A SUMMER from the New Directors section.
