Original creators Iain Morris and Damon Beesley will direct having also penned the script, with Spencer Millman (The Mighty Boosh, Man Down) producing.
Zodiak Media’s Bwark Productions will co-finance with Channel 4/Film4, while Entertainment Film Distributors will distribute the film in the UK next August.
Iain & Damon commented: “We can’t say too much as we don’t want to spoil the jokes for you, but what we can exclusively reveal is there will be kangaroos. And Australians. And possibly koalas.” Oh and obviously Jay, Will, Neil and Simon providing they’re let into the country.”
Having started life on E4, the multi award-winning series went on to enjoy massive success with its debut film, The Inbetweeners Movie, which was fully financed by Channel 4/Film4.
