Cameraimage to Honour Marc Forster and Roberto Schaefer

 



Marc Forster will be receiving an award at this year’s Camerimage

Cameraimage, the International Film Festival of the Art of Cinematography, will this year honour director Marc Forster (World War Z, Quantum of Solace) and Roberto Schaefer (Finding Neverland, Quantum of Solace) with their special Cinematographer/Director Duo Award.

This award will acknowledge a decade of collaboration between the pair, which has resulted in eight diverse and award-winning films including Everything Put Together, Monster’s Ball, Finding Neverland, Stay, Stranger Than Fiction, The Kit Runner, Quantum of Solace and Machine Gun Preacher. It represents the pair’s creativity and passion, and their ability to reach compromise in realising a joint vision.
Forster (above, at the Moscow Film Festival screening of World War Z) and Schaefer will be in Poland to receive their award, and will be joined by Golden Globe nominee John Turturro (Transformers, Oh Brother, Where Art Thou) who will also be in attendance to receive the Special Award to Actor-Director.
Cinematographer Slawomir Idziak (Black Hawk Down, Gattaca) is to receive the Lifetime Achievement Award, while Oscar-winning production designer and art director Rick Carter (Avatar, Jurassic Park) will take home the Production Designer with Unique Visual Sensitivity Award. This year’s Cameraimage takes plack in Bydgoszcz from November 16 – 23, 2013.
