Chris Hemsworth in line to star in Steve McQueen biopic – |

The actor best known for his role in Snow White and the Huntsman has been linked to the project, entitled Triumph AKA 40 Summers Ago, which is being produced by Jerry Weintraub and also stars his little brother, ‘The Hunger Games’ star Liam Hemsworth.

The movie will have to compete with another Steve McQueen biopic starring Jeremy Renner.

It is yet to attach a director, but Brandon and Philip Murphy are writing the script which documents McQueen’s relationship with his stunt double Bud Elkins, The Film Stage reports.

Hemsworth is also set to star in Stephen Gaghan’s crime drama Candy Store, and may star alongside Brad Pitt, Denzel Washington, both of whom have been linked to the motion picture.

The movie sees a former deep-cover operative turned policeman discover his neighbourhood has been taken over by an international crime group which he was once tasked to wipe out.

Hemsworth is currently filming Thor: The Dark World, in which he reprises his role as the titular character after starring as the superhero in 2011 fantasy movie ‘Thor’.
