Jim Jarmusch’s Only Lovers Left Alive Gets UK Release
Soda Pictures have acquired the UK and Irish distribution rights to Jim Jarmusch’s Cannes 2013 competition entry Only Lovers Left Alive.
The vampire drama stars Tom Hiddleston and Tilda Swinton as an undead, estranged married couple, whose attempts at reconciliation are put in jeopardy by her wild younger sister (Mia Wasikowska). John Hurt, Anton Yelchin and Jeffrey Wright also star.
Speaking about the deal with HanWay Films, Soda managing director Eve Gabereau told Screen International: “It’s a very exciting acquisition for us, to work with such great talent and such a fun, beautiful and timeless, yet timely and almost omniscient, film.”
Soda will release Only Lovers Left Alive in early 2014.
