Purvis & Wade To Pen Action Thriller
Neal Purvis and Robert Wade, the screenwriting team behind 007 movies Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace have reportedly been hired to write an action thriller for producers Michael Lieber (Flash of Genius) and Walter Parkes (Dinner For Schmucks).
The story will take place in West Africa, among the local nomadic Taureg tribes. As the area is rich with uranium, it has captured the attention of energy companies and terrorists. Into this mix is thrust an American anthropologist who must help a former research subject accused of a terrorist attack.
Parkes says of the project, “At its heart, this is an action movie within a world that is morally complex, alluring and completely real – which is why Robert and Neal, whose work spans James Bond to John Le Carre, are uniquely suited to bring a project like this to life.”
