First Bond Villain Joseph Wiseman Dies

Actor Joseph Wiseman, who played the very first James Bond screen villain in the title role of Dr No (1962), has died at the age of 91. He was a talented stage and screen star who had first appeared on Broadway in the 1930s and remained active in the theatre until recent years, and had numerous film credits to his name including Detective Story (1951), The Unforgiven (1960) and The Counterfeit Killer (1968).
Despite the huge success of his Dr No role, Wiseman gave very few interviews about his Bond experience during his lifetime.
