British Pathé are relaunching their infamous archive with a new focus on the general public. As well as a wide variety of videos, the archive hosts millions of photographs including images of Monroe, Elvis, Einstein, Churchill and Hitler. British Pathé became pioneers in online media when they digitally uploaded their entire archive; the 90,000 original canisters are all kept in an underground vault in Pinewood studios but British Pathé can now operate their entire Pinewood archive digitally from their central London offices as well as provide content for movie fans.
The new site offers easy search, keyword tags and related content rolls to make it fun and fascinating for everyone.
