To celebrate the opening of a new wave of IMAX^® auditoriums at ODEON cinemas and thelaunch of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallow™: Part 1, selected ODEON cinemas across the country* have renamed their state of the art IMAX^® auditoriums, ‘Platform 9 ¾’ and have given the entrance a truly magical transformation for the launch of the film.

IMAX’s customised auditorium geometry maximises your field of view. The precise positioning and shape of the IMAX® screen as well as the acoustical treatment of the walls creates the effect of putting guests within the film itself. In addition, IMAX’s powerful audio system delivers laser-aligned digital sound to envelop the audience. With Proportionate Point Source loudspeaker technology™ the audience will experience the optimum balance of sound wherever they are seated in the auditorium.
