HIGH POINT FILMS take rights to IN OUR NAME
Produced by BAFTA-nominee Michelle Eastwood, the film follows the story of a British Army servicewoman (played by BIFA award -winner Joanna Froggat) struggling to adjust to life back home after a tour of Iraq.
Mel Raido (Empire State, Grow Your Own) and newcomer Chloe Jayne Wilkinson also star in the film, which draws attention to the often unchecked problem of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) among the military.
“As articulate and powerful a film as you’re likely to see coming out of the UK about war and its aftermath this year,” praised High Point’s Managing Director, Carey Fitzgerald while Curzon Artificial Eye CEO, Philip Knatchbull described the film as ‘a highly topical, superbly acted, accomplished debut’.
Co-financier Curzon Artificial Eye will release in the UK on December 10, while High Point will begin international sales at Berlin in February 2011.
